Drawing from the dock at Granville Island, I got to meet owners of wooden boats who’ve gathered themselves for a weekend of sharing their vessels with the public. I am definitely returning on Sunday. Take a look at my sketch from Saturday, featuring a wooden fishing boat called ‘Fraser’ from Gabriola Island. This would be a special boat to cruise the Gulf islands and Salish sea in.
